Plenary Speaker
"Tools of the Mind was excited to have Cara speak to our team and partner educators at this year’s TEACH conference. Her energy and passion, paired with her warm nature, made for a motivating plenary that captured everyone’s attention.
As she highlighted the impact adults have on children's oral language development, Cara frequently engaged the audience in making connections to the interactions they have with children.
Our attendees shared positive feedback, with one commenting, “This was energizing! I can’t wait to read your book.” Thank you,
Cara, for an invigorating, thought-provoking session that motivated our educators and emphasized the importance of early childhood education!

Sing it! Sign it! Say it! - Connection Based Communication to Unlock Everyday Learning Opportunities

Through research, storytelling, and video examples, you will learn how to replace approval-seeking actions with reflective prompts that help children recognize their own accomplishments, develop authentic pride, and build confidence from the inside out.
